Each registration is for one student. Unless otherwise noted, our Nordic Handcraft classes welcome registrants ages 18+.

Crayfish

Ticket includes a full crayfish dinner and a shot of aquavit for all guests age 21+. This is an outdoor event, weather permitting.

Cooking Classes

Demos are designed for students to watch instructors prepare featured recipes while Workshops are participatory experiences in which students cook alongside their instructor.

All cooking classes include a recipe packet to take home and some tastes of the dishes prepared. Some classes include a full meal and a beverage. Please see the full course description for more information. 

Our cooking classes are designed for ages 18+ unless otherwise indicated. Please reach out to foodhandcraft@asimn.org with inquiries about accommodating younger guests.

Admissions: Advanced Sales

Museum admission offers self-guided access to all exhibitions and the historic Turnblad Mansion. Admission is free for ASI members. Museum visits generally take 60-90 minutes. Your ticket is good during open hours on the date selected. Wrong date? Head to the tickets page.

Members: Please log in and add tickets to your cart to receive free admission. Your membership will apply a discount after registration information is added. If this is your first time logging in, you may need to create an account.

Museums for All: This is a limited income program that provides free admission to qualifying individuals and their dependents during regular ASI hours. Special programs and events are not included. Purchase your discounted tickets online and present your qualifying documents at desk check-in.

  • Qualifying Assistance Programs: TANF, MFIP, SNAP, MFP, WIC, MN Headstart, General Assistance, Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Benefits, EBT Card, RCA Card, Section 8, Free/Reduced School Meals.

Museum hours:

  • 10 AM - 4 PM Tuesdays and Wednesdays 
  • 10 AM - 8 PM Thursdays  
  • 10 AM - 4 PM Friday, Saturday & Sunday 

The Museum, FIKA Café, and Museum Store are closed on Mondays, and on New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

 

Expansion Classes VIRTUAL

This is a virtual class; each registration is for one student. Students need a strong internet connection and access to a device with video capabilities (we suggest viewing our programs on a computer or tablet). Please note ASI does not record any language classes. All classes are listed in Central Time (CST).

VIRTUAL Nordic Table

This is a virtual program offered over Zoom. For Nordic Table classes, multiple students are welcome to join with each device connection. These classes are recorded and recordings are shared with registrants for one month after the class date. Please note all times are Central US time.

Registrants need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities. We suggest joining our programs with a computer or laptop.

Midsommar Advanced Registration Program

Join ASI for the annual Midsommar Celebration! Enjoy the longest day of the year by making fresh-flower head wreaths, singing songs, listening to live music, and dancing around the midsommarstång (maypole). Each ticket includes entry to the event, museum admission, and all performances. All food, beverages, and head wreath kits are available for additional purchase. 

Doors open at 10am. Festival ends at 4pm.
