Each registration is for one student. Unless otherwise noted, our Nordic Handcraft classes welcome registrants ages 18+.

The Christmas season is the perfect time to celebrate your family’s holiday traditions. We’re excited to bring back one of our favorites, the Julbord! Enjoy a variety of favorite Scandinavian Julbord dishes and a fabulous dessert spread. A cash bar will also be available.
Registration Details
The meal is $50 for members, $55 for nonmembers, $20 for ages 6–11, and free for children under six.*
Reservations are required by the Friday prior to each Julbord date (and are non-refundable). For table reservations, all members of the party must be made under one registration. Tables hold 8 guests, please plan accordingly. Please let us know about any accessibility or seating requests in advance. Seating requests can only be honored if made prior to the registration deadline.
*Please call the front desk (612-871-4907) to make reservations for children under 5 to secure the correct pricing.
Demos are designed for students to watch instructors prepare featured recipes while Workshops are participatory experiences in which students cook alongside their instructor.
All cooking classes include a recipe packet to take home and some tastes of the dishes prepared. Some classes include a full meal and a beverage. Please see the full course description for more information.

Museum admission offers self-guided access to all exhibitions and the historic Turnblad Mansion. Admission is free for ASI members. Museum visits generally take 60-90 minutes. Your ticket is good during open hours on the date selected. Wrong date? Head to the tickets page.

Museums for All: This is a limited income program that provides free admission to qualifying individuals and their dependents during regular ASI hours. Special programs and events are not included. Purchase your discounted tickets online and present your qualifying documents at desk check-in.

The Museum, FIKA Café, and Museum Store are closed on Mondays, and on New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

If this class includes a kit, you may choose pick up or shipping for most classes. Kits are shipped about one week in advance of classes; please enter the address you wish your kit to be shipped to and notify ASI if that address must be changed. Kits are usually available for pick up starting the Thursday before the week of your class.

This is a virtual program offered over Zoom. For Nordic Table classes, multiple students are welcome to join with each device connection. These classes are recorded and recordings are shared with registrants for one month after the class date.
