Students may order an optional kit for $10 or use the material list available on the ASI website to gather their own tools and materials. Each kit includes fabric patches hand dyed by Maddy, needles, fabric chalk, a needle threader and a small ruler. Students should also provide scissors, pins, and thread that matches or complements their mending projects. Additionally, an iron or thimble can be very helpful. Kits will be available for pick up at the American Swedish Institute the weekend before class, January 21-24, during open hours, or can be shipped for an additional $5 fee. Registration for kit based classes closes one week in advance on January 20.
