Faroese Knitted House Slippers with Laura Ricketts

Tackle a totally unique knitting project from the Faroe Islands while learning new skills. Skóleistar are the woolen soft shoe liner from the Faroe Islands, traditionally worn inside wooden clogs or rain shoes, but also doubling as a cozy house slipper. In this class, we will explore some of the knitting traditions of the Faroe Islands, and choose among two charted designs to make our own pair of skóleistar.
