Nordic Handcraft Workshop: Build Your Own Shaving Horse

This class meets Friday, February 21 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, February 22 & Sunday, February 23, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Shaving horses are useful tools for any woodcarver’s workshop! In this weekend-long course, students will each build their own sturdy shaving horses suited for furniture making, spoon carving and other green wood projects. Instructor Rose Holdorf will share thoughts about design considerations, sourcing materials and how to best use your shaving horse in discussions and demonstrations throughout the weekend. Students will leave with a finished shaving horse and information to further customize it for their own needs.

An additional $70 materials fee is payable to the instructor.
