Join the American Swedish Institute for an extraordinarily enchanted evening at the historic Turnblad Mansion. In celebration of the exhibit Nobel Creations: Inspired by the Nobel Prize, experience the world's top honor as you've never seen it before, through dazzling tastes, glittering experiments, and brilliant sound.

  • Light culinary bites specially designed by the award-winning team at FIKA, each inspired by the six Nobel Prize subjects.
  • The presentation of a Nobel Prize Medal replica to the ASI Collection by Dr. Peter Agre, 2003 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry.
  • The world premiere of "I Will Be a Hummingbird (Song for a Green World)," a choral work honoring Dr. Agre's work composed by Steve Heitzeg, conducted by Phillip Brunelle, and performed by the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers.

Cost: $200/individual, $400/couple. Includes one specialty cocktail. Cash bar available. Space is limited. Cocktail attire.

Steve Heitzeg's "I Will Be a Hummingbird (Song for a Green World)" has been commissioned in honor of Nobel Laureate Dr. Peter Agre and the American Swedish Institute by the members of the Minnesota Commissioning Club: Cathie and Jerry Fischer, Linda and Jack Hoeschler, Hella Mears and Bill Hueg, Thelma Hunter, Judy and David Ranheim, Gloria and Fred Sewell.
