A Night of Social Wonder: Artists Solutions To Seemingly Insoluble Problems

Wednesday, April 9, 2014- doors open at 6pm, program at 6:30pm

A Night of Social Wonder, the American Swedish Institute (ASI)'s new public conversation forum, returns on Wednesday, April 9 with an evening designed to inspire problem solving outside the box.

Inspired by the story of psaligrapher Karen Bit Vejle and moderated by 89.3 The Current's Mark Wheat, A Night of Social Wonder challenges a panel of national and local innovators to ask: how are artists finding solutions to seemingly insoluble problems?

Featuring: Mathew Shilan (University of Michigan), John Davis (Lanesboro Art Center), Noel Raymond (Pillsbury House + Theater) and Janet Koplos (journalist and art critic).

Co-presented by the American Craft Council.

Cost: $10 for ASI and ACC members, $12 for general public. Cash bar. Registration strongly encouraged.
